Viking Wedding in Iceland
STEINUNN OG MAGNÚS GOT MARRIED IN VIKING FASHION IN THE SUMMER, IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL CERAMONY CONDUCTED IN ÁSATRÚ
The day started at home with some champagne and in the company of the guys wonderful cats! Steinunn got ready and put on her absolutely gorgeous dress that was purchased in London. They then went off to do the final touches at the wonderful hotel Frost og Funi where we did a little photoshoot with them.
The ceremony
The ceremony felt absolutely perfect for the landscape, it was done in ásatrú and felt like a wonderful communal experience. It was very fitting that at the end of the ceremony a light drizzle started emerging and the air felt so fresh. Steinunn and Magnús were beaming with joy and their commitment and love was felt in the air.
The evening
After the ceremony everyone went inside for fun and games and some wonderful food. The venue was the very unique Ingólfskáli, the viking restaurant which was very fitting for the wedding. In the evening I managed to sneak the lovely couple out for a small photo shoot in the beautiful landscape. A wonderful day indeed.
